Futura

The geometric font Futura, commonly used in branding for Nike and Volkswagen, showcased in the poster here emphasizes the curves of the capital "S" in the bottom form with knockout type.

Hide and Seek

A fun child’s game shown in a typographic setting, “hide” is hiding within the s of seek with large rounded knockout e’s as the seeking eyes.

Not Your Boo Chocolate Bar

This Chocolate bar is an anti-Valentine’s Day sweet treat. Instead of messages of love and support, this is a chocolate bar to give to someone while breaking up with them. With a cutout breakup card on the back and a type pattern inside, your ex can cry over the breakup while eating their feelings.

Travel Poster

This illustrated poster showcases the beautiful cherry blossoms of Tokyo Japan. The variation in detail gives the illusion of depth as we look at the city buildings.

The daily life of a pair of shoes. Danger lingers for a clean show with every step and cleaning is inevitable.

Playing Cards

Four suits, thirteen cards in each suit, two colors, fifty-two cards total. Most card players and casino goers can recognize an ace of spades from across the room. I’ve decided to keep the traditional colors to keep some recognizability but instead of icons, each suit is depicted by a stroke of a different art medium. Watercolor, Acrylic Paint, Charcoal, and Ballpoint Pen.

The image illustrates the difference between line and plane through the use of minimal colors and a clear focal point.

Cooper Hewit Exhibit

Photo collage of drink waste with illustrated plastic bags for a mock Cooper Hewitt exhibit. By filling the poster with daily waste, it gives the illusion the viewer is buried under all of the garbage we litter our environment with.

Joker, Steve Miller Band

Depicted are various typographic illustrations of the song Joker by the Steve Miller band, by using different rhythmic patterns the flow of the music can be experienced in many different ways.

Equal Pay Act

A typographic and photographic visual resolution to the Equal Pay Act passed in 1963 deterring the gap in pay between genders. Unfortunately, after 60 years women still on average make 17% less money than men.

Green Book Page Spread

The Negro Motorist Green Book was a travel guide for black families and travelers to find safe places to stay for the night, restaurants, and gas stations commonly located in black communities. Whether traveling for vacation or moving life on the road for a black family was very dangerous with constant fear of hate or violence.

Properties of Design

With the use of a single grid made of round and hard edges, all ten properties used in all works of design are showcased uniquely.

PSA Poster

To warn people of the dangers of drinking and driving the blurred overlapping text is used to demonstrate a person's visual impairment and lack of focus while drinking and driving.

Movie Poster

A redesigned poster for the movie Pulp Fiction showcasing the different features of each character’s hair. With the minimal color pallet, the silhouette of each character can stand alone.

Water Works

A delivery service bringing large quantities of water to office buildings and other large public spaces. We have the regulations for type, color, and different logo options as well as the letterhead, envelope, and business cards.

Neon’s Spaghetti Tacos

While at concerts and rave-like venues one can find several food trucks, many with lighting outside when it gets dark. Neon’s not only serves unique portable meals but also has bright neon decals around the perimeter for optimum visibility. Never again will you be hungry and lose your way to the best food truck at the venue.
